Downhill Skiing
There are no large ski areas directly on 8. It's not the hilliest part and the APA discourage any large scale Rockies type development. Gore Mountain is a large regional ski area off of 8 near North Creek. There are a few smaller family places like in Speculator Village. There is a small area east of Chestertown on 8 called Dynamite Hill.
